I’ve been so aggravated by current events; it’s been difficult for me to say anything constructive. The whole purpose of BellaMiya is to be an example of hope – not hate. So I’m trying to reign in the opinionated and not-so-nice side of me. You can help by sharing your thoughts, faith, prayers, etc. God knows I need that!
I’ve been sharing a lot of Franklin Graham’s posts on Facebook because he has a better way of explaining what is right and what is wrong. I can’t always do that but I’m trying. What I can tell you is that extremes are NOT good. People protesting or supporting something is one thing but rioting and destroying to make a point is only fueling the opposition! Take a hard look at both sides and find compromise instead. It is possible but will take intelligence, reason and honorable goals – not selfish ones. Reverse discrimination is equally ugly and as wrong as thinking bad cops represent all cops.
So here’s the challenge:
- Realize the dire need for law enforcement including our Military and Police Forces who risk their lives for our protection.
- Understand that respect is earned.
- Treat others the way you want to be treated. Hate begets Hate.
- Hold yourself accountable knowing that all of us will be judged.
- Heaven or Hell?
This is a reminder for me as much as it is for anyone else. Again, please share your thoughts – hopefully constructive, positive ones for all our sakes. I want the next thing I publish to be like “sunshine.”
