I finally took Talia’s advice and read some of my own writing. What meant even more was reading the comments on ”Hard Days”. I was reminded that God’s gifts, His will and His word never fail. We have to develop confidence that although we might not realize God’s plans at the time, His plans are for good; and while the devil finds every opportunity to curse us with problems, we can rely on God. We know from scripture that He turns curses into blessings.
The Lord your God turned the curse into a blessing for you because the Lord your God loves you.
Deuteronomy 23:5
Our God turned the curse into a blessing.
Nehemiah 13:2
Let them curse, but You bless.
Psalm 109:28
God will redeem all our problems through Christ Jesus as we put our faith and trust in Him. He does it because He loves us. In every situation, He works for the good of those who love Him. That is grace.
But he (the Lord) said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
2 Corinthians 12:9
When I was weak, one of the posts I went to is “There Is Hope.”
Are you looking for answers and forgot who to call? Is life like an ocean, forsaken by all? Have you given up hope, when things got too rough? Or thrown up your hands saying “I’ve had enough”?
Wait for a wave to ride and feel strong. Know that I’m there ~ to Me you belong. My love never fails, My promise is true. It’s there in the Bible ~ it’s written for you.
Because Jesus lives, you can live again. Because of forgiveness, this isn’t the end. There’s new hope in Jesus ~ He is the light, through all of your days and darkness at night.
Please don’t lose hope, whatever you do. Just call His name, He’s listening for you.
I’m pretty sure I’ve said this before but it’s worth saying again. God works and answers – not just in mysterious ways – but through family and friends with love, compassion and forgiveness. My husband has rescued me and gives me hope. My daughter is ever faithful and gives me hope. My sister, who I’m so thankful to have in my life again, gives me hope. The list goes on with friends near and far and I have hope.
In closing, I love simply powerful quotes like the one Talia shared: “Fall seven times, stand up eight.” And that’s not just for surfers! Two others worth holding on to are: “The past is the lesson. The present is the gift. The future is the motivation.” and finally, Forget all the reasons why it won’t work and believe the ONE reason why it will.”
Now here’s a special song, “I Won’t Let Go” by Rascal Flatts that’s right up my alley with beautiful scenery and reference to scripture. I hope you find it as meaningful and reassuring as I have.
Wow, I love this!! Very beautifully written!! And I’m so proud of you for holding on to your faith and trusting what God has planned ❤
Glad to see you are back writing. I believe writing is your way of stress release helping you while sharing your thoughts can help others. In the past few years and especially the past year you have given all you had to give to family without self care and this knocked you down. Hopefully with back writing and help with your responsibilities to your aging parents constant health needs you can reserve time for your well being.
