Justice for Cannon

Tomorrow we ride in honor of Cannon Blake Hinnant, a precious 5 year old boy murdered by the next door neighbor. This is the kind of tragedy that’s impossible to understand. The only explanation is pure evil! We need to pray for Cannon’s family and especially his sisters who saw the evil one execute their little brother.

We were not born to hate – it’s something learned from a sinful world. The only hope we have is through Jesus Christ.

Jesus said, “I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness.” John 12:46

I appreciate those who brought Cannon’s story to light while our local/national media chose not to until they had no choice. What’s it going to take to take skin color and bias out of the equation of what’s notable or newsworthy? Please comment.

My name is Cannon. Please remember me.

This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. 1 John 1:5-9

  • We need to stand up and do something about the evil in this world and it all must start with believing in God and looking out for and helping one and other. It’s sad that the looking out for and helping came too late for Cannon. We can, have and will be there for this family in ways that we can. We can support by our time and/or donations to a children’s charity in Cannons name.
