If you’ve read “Happy Valentine’s Day,” you know the story about how I met my husband, Bobby. Tomorrow is our 25th Wedding Anniversary! I’m writing today because I have more important things to do tomorrow!! I still think of the song “Keeper of the Stars” and will always believe God brought us together. He really does work in mysterious ways, especially when you’re not looking!
I definitely wasn’t looking since I had ditched a fiance about 6 months before I was moved to Florida. The guy was one who’s very driven and always had the next goal lined up. To him, I think I was just that and he was relentless. However, my reluctant “yes” became a definite “no” over and over again until my job took me 800 miles away. No doubt that was part of God’s plan!
It was just me and Bella, far away from home but we were happy. We explored a lot of places and she was my faithful, sweet and very protective girl. (For those who don’t know, Bella was the Keeshond I’ve talked about and one of the two dogs the name BellaMiya came from.) I think part of finding “the one” you’re meant to spend your life with starts with finding yourself first. I had to learn what I was passionate about and what I loved doing with my life before I could find who I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. I did exactly that and then I found Bobby. He had me from hello.
I love you, Bobby, with all my heart always and forever. Here’s to a Happy Silver Anniversary and going for Gold!!
Looking forward to our trip this weekend and more happy memories to share!
From the first time we met in the building’s elevator on the project we both were working on, I didn’t think I had a chance. She was out of my league. But I would lookout for her and see when she would be walking over to the building and go hold the elevator until she would call for it, then I would get in to greet her and take that ride again and again. Then she offered to buy us drinks (At that time I thought she was thankful to my crew of the work we completed for her, is why I thought the offer was to us). after a few invites I realized she was inviting me. I gladly accepted and we went to the Blue Sky Café and only had (2) beers, but was engaged in talking about all kinds of things for hours. That was the start of something special and it still is today. Happy Anniversary Sweetie Love you Always and Forever.
You have a beautiful story, and are two beautiful people
