If you were asked to share your life story, which events and memories would you include? The things we remember with the greatest clarity are those with the strongest emotions attached. When I wrote “What Defines You?,” I talked about genetics, environment and influence. Those are key factors but maybe more important are the defining times we have. The weight and significance we attach to any experience or time is a choice we make. Granted it’s often subconscious but it’s still a choice.
Since I built BellaMiya, I’ve told a lot about my memories and choices. Certainly never thought I would do that! The thing is that when we fail, we’re tempted to allow a failure to define us or shame to deter us. But it doesn’t have to be that way. God wants us to come to Him so we can be restored and forgiven. There’s no greater gift or promise that I could share!
But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9
Everything I’ve written is honest and intended to help, enlighten and glorify God. I am just one of countless sinners He has saved and changed. I’m still tested, learning and challenged as we all are. The world in 2020 can be disheartening and disgusting but we have FOCUS: Faith, Opportunities for service, Christ, Useful thinking and Strength.
I continue to ask for your comments only because I really do want to know what readers think. I can’t respond or pray for specific needs if I don’t know what they are. I wish you a happy day! If you count blessings instead of troubles, it will be!!
If I was asked to share my life story, I would have two. One life I lived before I met my beautiful wife and the other I share with her today and from now on, Always and Forever. granted it’s one life but I have changed because of her, and become a better man. I still have room to be better and that kid of long ago comes out every now and then. I am very blessed that I have my wife Kim and our Daughter Talia and all the family that we have and have together. I wish our Daughter could be living in a time like I did instead of what is going on in this world today, but we will get through this with God’s grace and be stronger.
