Bobby and I recently celebrated our 30th Anniversary! That’s quite a milestone. We’ve been through a lot together. If you’ve read “My Bobby” {bellamiya.com/2020/07/my-bobby} you’ll know the backstory and see pics of our 1st Anniversary in Breckenridge, Colorado. That was extra special and unforgettable. As a token of our appreciation for my parents giving us a fairytale wedding and more, we included them on that trip. It was wonderful!
I often think about the days when we laughed a lot and were more carefree. Time can take its toll particularly if you let it. DON’T LET IT. Forgive, forget and most of all, remember “Yesterday is history. Tomorrow’s a mystery. Today is a gift. That’s why we call it the present.”
Not long ago, Bobby asked if I wanted to renew our vows. I looked at him and started laughing. I couldn’t help it; it was just out of the blue! It was a sweet thought but I said no. Vows are made to last “’til death do us part”. What I do want is for us to be fully present and live more in the moment – not deterred by the past or future. We have many wonderful memories and we have the opportunity to recreate them here and now. As Mom would to say, “why not”? Just to be clear, that was her way to say go for it!
I’m so glad and happy that you’re writing again. 30yrs has come and gone so quickly with all the ups and downs that life has been given us, but we have also have been given uncountable blessings in our lives.
